Olu WesLee Dixon
A Rising Star in Performing Arts

Embarking on a Creative Odyssey

From the vibrant stages of Seattle to the dynamic streets of Baltimore, Olu WesLee Dixon emerges as a beacon of talent in the performing arts world. At a young age, Olu's journey into the realm of creativity began with a step, a note, and a scene. His foundational years at NW Tap Connection, under the visionary guidance of Mrs. Melba Ayco, unlocked a passion for dance, encompassing Tap, House, and Hip-Hop. The echo of the trumpet, under Owuor Arunga's mentorship, and the melodies of the First AME's Angel Choir, directed by Mrs. Debbie Cavitt, further shaped his artistic path. With each performance, from the Pacific NW to Barbados, Olu's dedication to his craft deepened, reflecting a soul truly captivated by the art of expression.

Crafting the Future on Prestigious Stages

Olu WesLee Dixon's artistic voyage took a significant leap forward with his acceptance into the Baltimore School for the Arts (BSA), a testament to his exceptional talent and determination. Selected from a pool of over a thousand aspirants, Olu's placement in the Theatre Department, led by Rosiland Cauthen, marks a pivotal chapter in his career. His commitment to excellence extends beyond BSA; he is honing his skills in ballet and voice at the prestigious Peabody Institute, with mentorship from Brinae Ali of Tapology dance studio.
